ÁLVAREZ, JUAN

Practitioner Bio

Born in Zafra, Spain. A licensed and practicing physician. Appeared before the Lima tribunal in 1570 for judaizing. Kayserling claims that Álvarez was relajado and burnt at the stake. However, as Lea states, Álvarez does not appear in the subsequent Auto de Fe, so he was likely found not guilty.
